Caligo Ventures is the exclusive United States representative of the famed Asa Wright Nature Centre and Lodge in Trinidad & Tobago.

Caligo Ventures also operates and markets its own Natural History Tours, principally to Trinidad & Tobago, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Ecuador, and Peru, as well as Kenya. A nationwide clientele of individuals, small businesses and corporations adds to the diversity and stability of our agency.

In addition, Caligo Ventures also provides Meeting Planning services for symposiums, conferences, and conventions. Its extensive knowledge of appropriate venues in the countries where it conducts programs as well as its relationships with excellent in-country ground operators makes for a very successful formula. An example of our services can be seen in the highly successful symposium that saw us running the First International Symposium on the Tapir, in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2001. Caligo Ventures also organized the Second symposium which was held in Panama in January 2004.

Caligo Ventures was founded by Phil Schaeffer, former Vice-President, National Audubon Society, and Margaret Schaeffer who, along with their extensive travel experience and expertise, are also professional biologist-ornithologists.  Our toll-free "800" number, e-mail, and World Wide Web site provide convenient access for our clients across the United States, Canada and Europe.
